In keeping with our commitment to the preservation of our environment, Reynolds’ just became the 17th marina in Connecticut to become a certified clean marina by the Department of Environmental Protection. The Clean Marina Program is a voluntary effort to go beyond our legal regulations regarding our water ways and most importantly to preserve Long Island Sound. To become a certified clean marina you must illustrate your ability to handle and go above regulations in seven areas: mechanical activities, painting and fiberglass repair, hauling and storing of boats, fueling, facility management, emergency planning and boater education. As Tom Reynolds states, “Preservation of water quality and wildlife on the Connecticut River has always been of foremost concern.
